Step off the beaten path—and beneath the surface—on a one-of-a-kind journey into Tokyo’s hidden underground world. This immersive tour takes you through the bustling, labyrinth-like B1 floors of the luxury district of Ginza, revealing a fascinating side of the city that most visitors never see.
Feel the energy of Tokyo’s subterranean pulse as you weave through neon-lit corridors, sleek shopping arcades, and secret passageways used daily by locals. Beneath the streets, an entire ecosystem thrives—where commuters grab quick bites, salarymen unwind after work, and café culture flourishes in charming, old-school kissaten.
Taste your way through everyday Tokyo life with flavors that fuel the city. Try Japan’s most beloved grab-and-go snacks, the kind that locals swear by. Enjoy some cozy treats at a Showa-era café that feels frozen in time. Then, dive into the playful, nostalgic world of Yoshoku, where classic Western dishes are reimagined with a delightful Japanese twist.
This is Tokyo from an entirely new perspective—a dynamic blend of tradition and modernity, hidden right beneath your feet. Whether it’s your first time in Tokyo or your tenth, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the city’s underground culture, its stories, flavors, and everyday rituals.
Ready to explore a side of Tokyo that few get to see? Join us for this unforgettable underground adventure!

For Vegetarians:
Some food that we serve may have dashi, a soup stock made from kelp (seaweed) and bonito (skipjack tuna) as well as other ingredients. Dashi is the cornerstone of Japanese cuisine and is used in many/most Japanese dishes. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your dietary needs if you cannot consume dashi. Additionally, please inform us if you can eat eggs and dairy products.
If you cannot consume Dashi, we recommend booking a private tour with us and we can offer some alternatives. Again, be aware, it will still be a challenge to 100% avoid fish stock.
Please keep in mind that we cannot make an allergy-free or dietary restriction food guarantee since food is prepared in kitchens that do not belong to Arigato Travel. Also, some stops may not have a viable substitution but we will make every effort to compensate at different stops throughout the tour.
